Four years later
This is literally just timeskip ramble about and some pics of teen Róisín just to make Act 4 end on a round number. I don't have the motivation to write a proper timeskip chapter covering what everyone is up to so I'm just leaving this snippet.
Reynold spent many years teaching what he knew of lunar magic to his daughter, Róisín, and he delighted in watching his daughter become more and more in-tune with her gift in an environment that allowed her to be her true self. Róisín has always thought herself lucky- to have such loving and supporting parents, to have a place to practice her craft in relative safety, and of course, to be alive at all.
Reynold did what he could to teach her how to control the powerful emotions caused by the Moon's influence, with some ups and downs. The world is both a beautiful and cruel place to the Lunvinchenaîne- it gives as much as it takes. Of course, a child's emotions are already all over the place, but the support of the witches and her parents made all the difference.
Róisín, much like Reynold did, found herself torn between peace and violence. She learned how to defend herself with her magic, but when was it okay to defend yourself, and when did you have to hold back She'd witnessed her mother Áine kill witchfinders before, after all. Reynold had taught her that, much like the wolves, she should only do harm if necessary for the protection of herself and her pack- but she'd heard stories of the way Tsuna and her magic made short work of their adversaries. Everyone else seemed to take great pride in it, but she wasn't sure. Her father had told her that being a mooncaster was about protection over all else. Whilst protecting others wasn't always pacifistic, she took more interest in the healing abilities of lunar magic.
Róisín often practices with her close friend, Matis, and relative newcomer to the refuge, Verity. They both find her magic impressive. Matis isn't the brightest boy in Glimmerbrook, nor particularly accomplished with his magic- but he's kind and understanding towards Róisín, and he means the world to her as her first ever friend of her own age.
Róisín is devoted to Lunvin, and her beliefs in the Watcher petered out in her late childhood. She often gives thanks and praise to the Mother of Wolves, often in the form of a Lunvinchenaîne ritual involving wearing metal 'claw' rings and a mask shaped like a wolf's muzzle. The one she wears is crafted by her uncle Eli and delivered to her by Violeta, based on Reynold's own. She has seen the wolf form of both of her parents, and she is excited to one day have her own- and maybe a bit impatient, as well.
Even though she's fourteen now, she still makes sure to spend some time with both her parents, as well as lending a hand to Tsuna with food and such. Much like her father once did, she often wrestles with her identity, and feels deeply guilty for some of the things she says upon the eve of a full moon. As much as she loves being a mooncaster, there are times where she laments to herself about it.
